It can be incredibly lonely to have thoughts and feelings you can’t talk about, or resolve. Talking with a counsellor, and being deeply listened to, can lead to lasting positive change.

You might want to use counselling to

  • explore a dilemma such as a new job, or whether to become a parent

  • better understand how past experiences have impacted your mind and body

  • feel accepted as you navigate the roller coaster of emotions from a life transition, such as the end of a relationship, a birth, or a death

  • have relief from the physical and mental impact of anxiety and depression

  • find meaning in your life, and experience more joy and gratitude in the day to day

  • explore your response the loss of something important, or the climate crisis

  • experiment with new ways of being in the world and in relationship to others

  • be better able to express or work with your thoughts and feelings

Counselling offers a place where you can be your real self; you won't have to pretend to feel a certain way, you won't have to censor yourself, put on a brave face, or be strong when you want to be vulnerable. I will welcome you just as you are at each and every session.

I will offer you an accepting and non judgemental space where you can work towards meaningful change. I use the word ‘work’ intentionally because counselling is not a passive process. I will not be leading you, but I will support you and actively collaborate with you to give you the best chance of benefitting from the experience.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Sam
